  1. In 1909, Honus WagnerΓÇÖs picture was
  2. printed on one of the first baseball cards
  3. ever made. The cards were made by a
  4. tobacco company. Honus didnΓÇÖt like that.
  5. He didnΓÇÖt want people to think he
  6. approved of smoking. So he asked the
  7. company to stop selling the cards.
  8. HonusΓÇÖs cards were pulled off the shelf
  9. and destroyed, after fewer than 100 of
  10. the cards had been sold. Today, those
  11. cards are extremely valuable. Any of the
  12. original cards that survived are now
  13. worth between $100,000 and $500,000
  14. -- depending on their condition.
